E2 Water Tower Repainting Complete
In the spring, we took our E2 Elevated Water Tower out of operation for repainting. Due to poor weather conditions, it took several months for this to be completed. As we reported in our previous post, due to this time discrepancy, the lower portion of the tank was a darker color compared to the top, causing a distinct mismatch in paint color between the two application timeframes. We believe this to have been caused by pollen mixing with the paint prior to curing.
A repainting was planned, but could not be completed over the summer since water demand was too high for us to take the tower out of operation, so we waited until fall. The painters made the situation right by repainting the entire tank again at no additional expense to LMUD.
